#18 Camel Coed Squad Finishes 10th at St. Mary's Fall Intersectional
ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.--The 18th ranked Connecticut College coed sailing team headed south to the mid-Atlantic to compete in the St. Mary's College of Maryland Fall Intersectional.
Roger Williams University won the regatta with a score of 213 points. The Hoyas of Georgetown University finished second with 231 points with the Monarchs of Old Dominion University grabbing hold of third place with 241 points.
Kevin Martland, IG Schottlaender, Grace Medley and Ellis Tonissi teamed up for an 11th place finish with a score of 184 points in the A division. In the B division, rookie skipper Pearson Potts, Benjamin Meyers and Steph Kapinos rallied the Camels with a score of 158 points in seventh place.
A little closer to home, members of the coed squad visited Tufts University to compete in the Hood Trophy Regatta. The Camels placed 16th in the 19 team field with a score of 245 points.
Tufts University won the regatta with a score of 82 points. Yale University placed second with 92 points. The Navy scored 142 points en route to its third place showing.
In the A division, senior skipper Tim Clark and sophomore Kim Bolick scored 131 points en route to their 15th place finish. Sophomore Jordan Bothwick and senior Katie Andril scored 114 points to finish 15th for the Camels.
The eighth ranked Camel women's sailing team competed in the Regis Bowl Regatta at Boston University. The Camels finished 13th in the 16 team field with a score of 232 points.
Alexandra Romagnoli and Leah Bevins teamed up for a 13th place finish in the A division with a score of 139 points. In the B division, second year skipper Liz Dubovik and Lea Bushnell rallied the Camels with an eighth place score of 93 points.
