Camels Place Third out of 47 Teams at James Early Invitational LeDuc Finishes 2nd Overall in 25:45

WESTFIELD, Mass..--Mike LeDuc (Canton, Conn.) posted a time of 25:45 to finish second in the field of 429 runners, earning All-Invitational Honors at the James Early 8k Invitational hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park Saturday. The Camels, ranked #10 in New England, finished third in the field of 47 teams with a score of 140 points. Middlebury College, the 13th ranked team in the nation, scored 23 points to win the invitational. Amherst College scored 111 points en route to their second place finish. The Camels placed third and were followed by WPI, who scored 154 points. Andrew Duarte (Rocky Hill, Conn.) finished 22nd as the second Camel finisher with a time of 26:56. Patrick Dermody (Erievielle, N.Y.) finished in 27:08 en route to his 28th place showing. Junior Andrew Majkut (Upton, Mass.) placed 51st in the field with a time of 27:44. Michael Joyce (Wallingford, Conn.) posted the identical time of 27:44 to finish 52nd in the field. First year harrier Niall Williams (Scotia, N.Y.) was 90th with a time of 28:21. Senior Tristan Cole (St. Helen, Calif.) posted a time of 28:56 to finish in 121st place.
