In the Center for the Comparative Study for Race and Ethnicity, students work with faculty and staff to explore issues of power, identity and social justice.
This spring, CCSRE celebrated its 10th anniversary with a three-day series of events featuring a faculty debate on inequality, capitalism and racial justice; an artist talk by “Capitalism Works For Me!” creator Steve Lambert; a student-led teach-in and a discussion with trustees and alumni of color. The celebration culminated with a keynote lecture by public intellectual Cornel West, who was the keynote speaker at the inauguration of the CCSRE 10 years ago.
