Dear Connecticut College Parents:
Winter has finally arrived at CC. View photos of the campus in snow, and check out the latest College news below.
You can still help CC students win a national "ecomagination Challenge" sponsored by mtvU and GE by going to ecocollegechallenge.com and voting. CC is the smallest finalist and is working hard to get everyone to show their support. The winning school gets $25,000 to bring its "green dream" to life.
CC News
- David Dorfman will move his renowned New York dance company to CC.
- Eliza Cooper '08 can do just about anything despite being blind. But she and other visually impaired people can't "read" U.S. paper currency. Cooper is working to change that.
- Harold D. Juli and Walter F. Brady, iconic professors who taught at CC a combined 67 years, have passed away. A campus service for Professor Brady will be held March 3 at 11:30 a.m. in Harkness Chapel; Professor Juli's is not yet scheduled.
A colleague of Walter Brady's wrote in tribute, "[He enjoyed] even the simplest occasions and events. If there was a beautiful sunset or a full moon, Walter had seen it. If the flowers were blooming on campus, Walter had admired them, and if there was a brisk southwesterly wind, Walter had been out sailing that afternoon."
