ARBO Project Program Coordinator
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the program and
for the long term planning that is needed to accomplish
the goals and objectives of this community environmental
education program.
- Responsible for administering and developing the program
while working responsibly within the goals and structure
of the Arboretum as a whole.
- Recruit potential tutors through OVCS Volunteer Fair,
campus publications and active one-on-one recruiting.
- Train and instruct student tour guides the format and
content of the tours. Give them sufficient resource materials
and age-specific tour pamphlets.
- Organize and coordinate student’s schedules.
- Recruit participants, both children and family groups,
through contact with schools, after school programs, Connecticut
College programs and the community in general.
- Supervise and/or conduct tours.
- Maintain and augment and organizes existing resource
library.
- Communicate regularly with the OVCS Staff Program Director
and Arboretum Director regarding the content and scheduling
of tours.
- Submit qualitative and quantitative report at the end
of each semester to the OVCS Staff Program Director based
on personal, tour guide and organization feedback.
