Pre-medical Program Coordinator
 

  • Maintain contact and annually re-affirms partnerships with all pre-health organizations.
  • Act as liaison between Connecticut College pre-health students and partner organizations.
  • Actively search for partner organizations that delineate CC student interests, while actively searching for CC student volunteers for organizations with specific requests for volunteers.
  • Maintain a record of partner organizations and relevant information by keeping the OVCS partner database up-to-date.
  • Periodically send updated list of partner agencies and descriptions via e-mail to CC pre-health students
  • Periodically update the pre-med advisor who should be aware of any program updates or changes.
  • Present program and opportunities to students at the pre-health meetings.
  • Recruit speakers to give lectures or dialogue discussions with the Connecticut College community, especially pre-health students.
  • Distribute evaluation forms to pre-health students and organizations at the end of each semester for assessment purposes.
  • Recruit potential program participants through the OVCS Volunteer Fair, campus publications, pre-health meetings and through active one-on-one recruiting.
  • Interview volunteers primarily at the beginning of each semester, but also throughout the semester as needed.
  • Meet with OVCS staff program director on a monthly basis, or more frequently if needed.
  • Document and compile all relevant contact, organization and/or event information in the pre-health program coordinator binder.
