KBA (Kids, Books & Athletics) Project Coordinator
- Return early from summer vacation for OVCS staff training.
- Recruit potential KBA Program volunteers through the
OVCS Volunteer Fair, campus publications, service-learning
classes and active one-on-one recruiting.
- Assist with training and orientation to prepare participants
for program.
- Coordinate designated program days with local schools
and after school programs.
- Keep school personnel and participants informed about
school closings, vacations and holidays.
- Assist with designing, developing and implementing the
KBA program curriculum and structured exercises with input
from volunteers.
- Review and order multicultural reading books and materials
for each week’s activity.
- Meet and communicate weekly with volunteers.
- Distribute and collect evaluation forms from student
volunteers and any relevant schools/agencies.
