Jon McManus

As an AmeriCorps*VISTA and the Community Outreach and Education Programs Coordinator, Jon McManus joins OVCS with the hope of “establishing and maintaining a strong tie with the New London community.” As the Program Director of Project Kids, Books, and Athletics (KBA), Jon has always been interested in community service and his previous experience as KBA student coordinator serves him well in his current capacity. Jon views OVCS as the means to “establish collaborative and reciprocal partnerships with the New London community as well as to inculcate a strong philanthropic sense among the students at Connecticut College and the citizens of New London.” A native of Acton, MA, Jon graduated from Connecticut College in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies, History and American Studies.
