Associate Deans of Studies
We, the Academic Deans, are the Dean of Studies, the Associate Dean of Studies for Freshmen and Sophomores and the Associate Dean of Studies for Juniors and Seniors. All long-term administrators of the College, we're committed to the institution's mission and core values, and have a deep knowledge of the College's academic requirements.
We work closely with the offices of Student Life, Unity House, Student Health Services, Student Counseling Services, CELS, Residential Life, Disability Services, the Writing Center and Religious and Spiritual Life.
We have a deep respect for our students. Our primary mission is to assist you in the development of your life goals.
While we encourage you to take responsibility for your own life, we are always available to help you:
- Develop suitable educational goals
- Select appropriate courses and other educational experiences
- Interpret institutional requirements
- Enhance your awareness about educational resources available (e.g., internships, study abroad, scholarships and fellowships, centers) and learning assistance programs
- Develop decision-making skills
- Collaborate with faculty and academic departments
- Connect with institutional and community support services
- Reinforce your self-direction
We encourage you to meet with your academic dean in the fall of your sophomore year.
