Q: What is Dean's List (Dean's Honors)?
At Connecticut College the Dean's List is called either Dean's Honors or Dean's High Honors. Student who achieve a semester GPA of between 3.3 and 3.69 receive Dean's Honors; those who receive a semester GPA of 3.7 or better receive Dean's High Honors.

Q: What are Latin Honors?
At graduation, students who have achieved an overall GPA of 3.5 are awarded their degree cum laude (with honors); those whose GPA is at 3.67 or above receive their degree magna cum laude; those whose GPA is at 3.8 or above receive their degree summa cum laude. Q: Do freshman courses count toward Latin Honors?
Graduation (Latin) honors are computed on the basis of all college grades, including those taken in the freshman year or in an approved summer school program at another institution.

Q: What are departmental honors?
Students may qualify for departmental honors in their senior year by completing a thesis in their major field. Specific requirements vary from department to department, but such work takes place under the supervision of a faculty member and culminates in an honors thesis.
