Q: How do I declare a major?
The process for declaring a minor is basically the same as for declaring a major. But you should note that whereas the major advisor must sign add/delete forms and the like, the minor does not have to do that. You should, therefore, make sure that you let your minor advisor know of any changes to your coursework that may affect your minor.
Q: Double majors/minors
In order to graduate, students must have at least one major. They are not required to have a minor or more than one major. If you wish to have more than one minor or more than one major, you must follow the same procedure for declaring a major.

Q: What is a Student Designed Interdisciplinary Major (SDIMM)?
Connecticut College students have the option of designing their own major in consultation with faculty. If you are interested in designing your own major, make an appointment to speak with the Associate Dean of Studies for Juniors and Seniors in Fanning 206. Forms are available in that office that will explain the process.
