Laboratory Safety
The Office of Environmental Health & Safety is committed to promoting safety awareness and safe work practices in Connecticut College’s laboratories for its faculty, staff, students and visitors.Laboratory safety depends on every employee's participation and cooperation and their commitment to do their job in a way that is safe for himself and his coworkers.
Noncompliance with safety policies not only endangers the individual, but often compromises the health and safety of fellow workers and the surrounding community.
The primary goal of each individual should be to minimize the risk of injury or illness to yourself and your co-workers by ensuring that you and they have the training, information, support and equipment needed to work safely in the laboratory.
