OVCS wins national recognition

In February, 2009, Connecticut College earned a national honor, earning a spot on the President´s Community Service Honor Roll. Connecticut College is the only Connecticut school named to the President´s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll with Distinction. Read the February 8, 2009, press release.

OVCS Community Learning Volunteer Fair

Early in each semester, OVCS holds an afternoon volunteer fair where students and members of the College community can explore exciting opportunities to make a difference in their local community in areas such as economics, health, education, the environment and the arts. Students, staff and faculty can speak with program coordinators and student volunteers. New London middle-school students are present at the Fair to relate their experiences in the OVCS mentor programs. Students can also sign up for unique work-study positions, and those enrolled in service-learning courses can choose from a wide variety of programs for their coursework.
