OVCS People
Each year approximately 600 Connecticut College students engage in a wide range of community learning, service and volunteer activities.
Connecticut College students are working for change, recognizing their rights and responsibilities and developing their leadership skills to navigate within diverse communities. They are recognizing that the best decisions arise from the interplay of diverse experiences and viewpoints. They are learning to be the active citizenry necessary to grow and make more just our own democracy and foster justice throughout the world.
The students' assessments of their experiences are positive and describe the powerful academic, professional and personal advancements they make as a result of their engagement.
The community partners' and supervisors' assessments detail the positive impacts and describe the students' increased capacities to address social, political, health, and economic issues.
The Connecticut College OVCS staff is a diverse and dedicated group who works with students, staff, faculty and community partners to support the College's mission in educating students to put the liberal arts into action as citizens in a global society.
