Assistant Director

As the Assistant Director for OVCS, Luis A. Rodríguez works as a liaison between the Connecticut College and New London communities in order to cultivate a more effective working relationship. He oversees office administration, mentor programs, and plans College and community events. Through his efforts, students are able to find quality service placements within the local community, which in turn enhances the capacity of those partner organizations.

A native of Ponce, Puerto Rico, Luis joined OVCS because he was impressed by the way the office "encourages and provides opportunities for students to put their knowledge and leadership skills into action." He goes on to express the belief that "these opportunities also allow students to gain new experiences and develop new talents."

Luis graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras' Campus, with a B.A. in history and a minor in education. He looks forward to continuing to develop "opportunities that promote active citizenship, diversity, tolerance and goodwill on campus and in the community."
