Jessica LeClair

Jessica LeClair joined OVCS as a AmeriCorps*VISTA Outreach & Student Programs Coordinator in 2008 after graduating from Connecticut College, where she majored in International Relations and Environmental Studies. Jessica worked closely with communities in both Central America and Norway. She developed a passion for working with local populations and organizations and brings unique experiences of community development in the international arena.

Inspired by the generosity and passion of both those at home and abroad, Jessica loves working with people to advance social and educational issues. A native of Windsor Locks, Connecticut, Jess is interested in all things outdoors and on the water.

Rebeccah Beachell

Rebeccah Beachell is happy to continue serving the New London community as an Americorps VISTA at OVCS. As a student, the work of OVCS enriched her academic life and inspired a dedication to the local community that found an outlet in coordinating the Arbo Project. She believes that demonstrating concern for others is the most important part of human lives.

After graduating Connecticut College in 2009 with degrees in Government and East Asian Studies, Rebeccah joined OVCS with the goals of making service learning a part of everyday life at Connecticut College, and making partner organizations known and accessible in the College community. She is also passionate about environmental education and working with children.

Rebeccah is originally from Hampden, Massacusetts.

Katie Muldoon

Katie Muldoon joined OVCS in 2009 as an AmeriCorps VISTA after graduating from Connecticut College where she received her B.A.  in government and sociology-based human relations.  From her first semester at Conn, service learning and volunteerism were integral parts of her education and Katie, as the OVCS Public Communications Coordinator, would love to help involve more of the student body in community service. She believes deeply in the importance and necessity of fostering a strong sense of community and hopes to help further connect Connecticut College students to New London through service as well as through all the creative and cultural experiences the city has to offer.
