Parents Council

Members of the Connecticut College Parents Council serve as liaisons between the College and the parent community. After making their own gift to Connecticut College through the Parents Fund, Council members reach out to other parents to ask them to support the College.

The Parents Fund, as part of the Annual Fund, provides crucial unrestricted dollars that support every aspect of a Connecticut College education -- financial aid, study abroad, athletic equipment, visiting scholars, and countless programs and opportunities that define the Connecticut College student experience.

In 2008-09, the Parents Fund reached $737,000 -- exceeding its goal -- with 40 percent participation.

For further information about the Parents Council and the Parents Fund, please contact Valerie Smith, associate director of annual giving/parent programs, valerie.smith@conncoll.edu or 860-439-2310.
