Visiting Fellows

The Keck-Howard Hughes Medical InstituteVisiting Fellows faculty development program involved well-established experts who work with Connecticut College faculty to integrate emerging and changing sub-fields into courses and laboratories.

Material developed was incorporated as Modules in Emerging Fields in existing courses and may also be used to develop new courses and research projects. Modules (such as CD-ROMs and videotapes) are distributed to other colleges and universities. The K-HHMI Visiting Fellows provided additional contacts for our faculty for seminar speakers, research assistantships and making visits to research laboratories.

The modules contain all the material required to incorporate the emerging field into a typical college course, e.g. CD-ROMs with lecture notes, figures, a basic review describing the fields, an annotated bibliography and appropriate software.
