Emergency Response Plan
Connecticut College has an Emergency Response Plan (ERP) that is regularly reviewed and updated by a campus committee chaired by the Vice President for Administration.
The College is also in regular contact with the Emergency Response Team for the City of New London.
For security reasons, the full text of the plan is accessible only to members of the campus community through our intranet, CamelWeb.
Others may access here the (PDF). Download Adobe Acrobat Reader at no charge from Adobe's Web site.
Connecticut College parents who wish more details are encouraged to discuss the plan with their students.
During the summer, the College continued to upgrade emergency preparedness measures that ensure the safety of our students. We installed six new security phones — for a total of 21 across campus— that can be used to contact Campus Safety for any reason, such as to call for an escort, to report a suspicious person or to report an emergency.
We continue to test our Connect-ED communications system, which enables us to send emergency alert messages to the campus community, and plan to do so at least once each semester.
