Academic-Year Sustainability Internships
Connecticut College has established a Sustainability Internship Program that is launching in fall 2012. This program will provide interested students the opportunity to support the research, planning and implementing of projects related to a specific area of sustainability. Student interns will work actively with the organizations and committees on campus that are directly related to their projects in an effort to enhance the College’s commitment to sustainability.

Summer Sustainability Internships
Since 2000, Connecticut College has sponsored a summer internship designed to give a student the opportunity to work on projects that enhance sustainability efforts on campus. Only one student per summer is selected to serve in this paid position. The Summer Sustainability Intern works directly with the Sustainability Coordinator on a variety of projects that can include:
- Recycling and composting projects
- Enhancing the Community Organizers for Sustainability Transformation (COST) Program
- Fostering collaborations with social equity organizations on campus
- Water conservation initiatives
- Supporting the Sprout organic garden
- Tracking greenhouse gas emissions
