Timelines

Begin the study away process sophomore year

While most students begin the study away process during their sophomore year, it is never too early to begin researching your study away options and to plan how study away will support your academics. Students are encouraged to utilize the variety of study away resources found on the College's study away website, in addition to study away program brochures found in the Office of Study Away. Students may also meet with study away staff to discuss the various program options and to review eligibility requirements.

Furthermore, students must complete a detailed study away application, attend several study away meetings, and submit study away specific paperwork in order to study away.

To help students better manage the study away process, here are two suggested timelines for traditional study abroad and SATA programs. (Dates are subject to change.)

Timeline for fall semester, junior year study abroad
(The deadline for the College's fall semester study away application is early-February)

Timeline for spring semester, junior year study abroad
(The deadline for the College's spring semester study away applications is mid-September)
