3ART: 3D Audio Real-Time Processing Application

Ben’s project was a real-time audio processor that turns a series of inputted mono audio stems into fully immersive, 3D sound using an array of spatializing filters called Head-Related Transfer Functions. The user can either place these sounds freely around the digital room, or allow the application to run signal analysis on the stems (using MATLAB in the background), sort them by various sound qualities, and then automatically create a 3D spatialization on the fly.
