December 1, 2025

Dear alumni, family and friends of Connecticut College,

I hope you had a restful Thanksgiving and enjoy a wonderful holiday season. As we head into a busy December on campus, I want to share several updates—and extend my gratitude for your continued connection to Connecticut College.

This past Tuesday, our community came together in remarkable ways for Giving Tuesday. I am deeply grateful to all alumni who chose to support Conn as part of this global day of generosity. Your gifts—of any size—make an immediate impact on our students and strengthen the mission of the College. Thank you for all the ways you champion Conn.

All-College Symposium

Thank you, thank you, thank you—to the organizers, faculty, staff, family members, and alumni who supported our students throughout the All-College Symposium on Nov. 6! And thank you to everyone who came out to cheer them on. It was an inspiring day of Connections that showcased the spectacular academic achievements of our students and provided moments of genuine connection.

Budget Update

As mentioned in my last email, the board approved enrollment goals for the next five years. These goals, reflecting the ongoing decline in the college-aged population, will serve as the basis for developing realistic future budgets.

December Events

I hope that you will be able to join us at one of Conn’s annual holiday parties and gatherings across the country. Details can be found here.

The College will close for Winter Break on Dec. 24 and will reopen on Jan. 5, 2026. Advancement staff can be reached at (860) 439-2400 on December 26 and 29-31 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET.

As the year winds down, I hope the slower-paced moments of winter provide an opportunity for rest and renewal.

Warmly,
