Announcement about Reunion 2020
I hope this email finds you and your loved ones safe and well. I know that you are eager to hear about the status of Reunion 2020 and I write to you today to share those plans.
Over the last few weeks, the Office of Alumni Engagement has been in thoughtful conversations with all of our Reunion Committees — from the 5th to the 60th — to discuss possibilities for Reunion 2020. Based on these discussions, coupled with the uncertainty of this global healthcare crisis, the College is postponing Reunion 2020.
But... our plans for your Reunion are BIG! We will celebrate Reunion 2020 and Reunion 2021 together during the weekend of June 4 - 6, 2021 — a double Reunion! All classes ending in 0 and 5 will join classes ending in 1 and 6 for an extraordinary Reunion Weekend in June 2021. While we will miss getting together with you on campus this spring, we look forward to welcoming everyone back next year for an extra special celebration.
We want to express our gratitude and appreciation to our Reunion chairs, committee members, and volunteers for their partnership and tireless efforts as we made this important decision. As President Bergeron so eloquently stated, "Conn is a community of character and a community of care." We have seen this displayed in countless ways from so many of you over the last several weeks.
Thank you for your patience and for all you do as members of the Conn family. We know that your commitment to Connecticut College remains strong, and we thank you for supporting each other and the College.
We look forward to celebrating you and your class at Reunion 2021. Until then, stay connected, safe, and strong.
With warmest wishes,
Kim M. Verstandig P'23
Vice President for College Advancement
