From Registrar: Important Changes to College Policies for Spring 2020

Dear Students,

I am writing with important information about legislation that was recently passed by the faculty, which will be in effect for the Spring 2020 semester.
Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) Grading 
Effective for the Spring 2020 semester only: In their letter-graded courses, students will be allowed to choose whether to receive a letter grade or whether to choose to be graded on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory basis. 
  • For students electing the S/U option, a grade of Satisfactory will be awarded for course work completed at or above a D-
  • The grade of Unsatisfactory will be awarded for course work completed below a D- 
  • Courses that receive the grade of S this semester will be allowed to count toward major, minor, and other College-wide requirements  
  • S/U grades will not be factored into the GPA or included in the calculation for Latin honors, distinction in the major, or Dean's Honors/Dean's High Honors   
Students will receive a survey by the week of April 27 and will need to complete it and make their grading option decision for each letter-graded course by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 6. More information about the survey will be forthcoming in April.

Change to Honors Study Deadline
Senior honors studies are now due by 4 p.m. on Monday, May 4. The updated 2019/2020 academic calendar is available here.
Course Feedback Forms
Course Feedback Forms (formerly known as All-Campus Course Evaluations) will not be administered for any course in Spring 2020.
