Classes and inclement weather: the first two weeks

Dear faculty,

Given that the spring semester is beginning with two weeks of remote instruction, I would expect that, barring a power outage or other similar impediment, your classes would go as scheduled even if the College suspends or delays some campus operations due to inclement weather. (Recommendations concerning classes and weather after the two weeks of remote instruction are forthcoming.)

In an effort to ensure that College operations are supported in such circumstances, staff who are scheduled to work some or all of their hours remotely will do so.

You will continue to receive emails and messages via Rave/CC Alert whenever there is important information to convey regarding a significant weather event or an emergency. These messages will include this same guidance regarding faculty work expectations.

Please let me know if you have questions.

Sincerely,

Jeff Cole

Dean of the Faculty
