Personal Protective Equipment Update, May. 28, 2020

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I am writing to provide an update on the new process we will use to order Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for members of the campus community.

A PPE Task Force, chaired by Director of Purchasing Christopher Rust, has been established to develop PPE guidelines based on state mandates, centralize all campus requests for PPE, save on costs and ensure we are tracking inventory and distribution of these materials.

The College will be providing all students, faculty and staff who are living or working on campus this summer and fall reusable cloth masks, gloves and hand sanitizer. Requests for PPE beyond what is currently provided should be directed through your department or division head who is tracking and assessing those additional needs.

The academic continuity, campus life and business continuity working groups are also developing an inventory of campuswide PPE needs that will be forwarded to the PPE Task Force.

I will share more details about the PPE ordering process in the coming weeks. In the meantime, if you have specific questions, please be in touch with Christopher Rust at
