Conn Services

Dear Students,

I am writing to provide an update on campus services that may still be useful, despite you not being on campus.

Campus Post Office: Effective Monday, March 30, the post office will be operating Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with open window hours from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Our post office supervisor, Judy Teel, also can be reached via email at jteel@conncoll.edu or by phone at 860-439-2371 between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. if you need to reach her about any mail you think may still be coming to campus or that needs to be forwarded.

Campus Book Store:  While the bookstore is closed, our store manager Deborah Silvers is working from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday and can be reached via phone at 860-439-2375.

The bookstore’s priority is to ensure the campus community has textbooks and other essential items. To avoid disruption, the bookstore website remains open. Please check the campus bookstore website at www.conncollshop.com for updates.

During this time Follett is offering the following:

Free Online Shipping Offer: Visit the www.conncollshop.com for free shipping on all items with no minimum purchase. This includes various formats of course materials, supplies, apparel, technology and more.

Free Shipping on Rental Returns & Deadline Extensions: The campus store is offering free shipping return labels and is also extending the non-return period without penalty to assist with increased returns by mail. Click the COVID-19 message on the home page of the www.conncollshop.com.

Rental Returns – In general, textbook rentals are due back to the bookstore on the last day of finals (May 18). The grace period has been extended 15 days (June 2). This extension will allow more time for in-transit rental check-ins to be processed before non-return collateral charges are processed. Free shipping labels are available to all US rental patrons until midnight of the due date (June 2). Current rental patrons will also receive a message regarding this extension.

Access to eBooks AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE: Visit the campus store website, www.conncollshop.com to gain access to eBooks at no additional charge with your .edu email address. Each student can access up to 7 eBooks for the designated period free of charge.

FREE Access to Lumen Learning OER Courseware: Lumen Learning, our OER partner, is offering FREE access to courseware to help supplement content, and offer additional resources to faculty, click here for the Lumen offer.

We are here to support you and please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.

Sincerely,

Merrill Collins
Director of Auxiliary Operations
