COVID-19 Test Kit Distribution Starts Today
Beginning today, when you go to the Testing Center to test, you will be given a test kit to take with you over break. You will be asked to show your College ID in order to receive a kit. If your January return date falls within 90 days of testing positive, you will not need to pick up a kit.
Each test kit has two tests in it.
- One test is for you to test yourself before returning to campus in January
- The second is for you to test yourself before returning to campus in March after spring break.
Each person will only receive one test kit so I ask that you please keep it in a safe place.
If you are not on campus to receive a kit or if you lose the kit then you can either purchase your own test kit online, at a pharmacy, or other location that sells over the counter tests. Over the counter test kits cost roughly 25 dollars (common brands are Abbott BinaxNOW and Quidel QuickVue). You may also get tested through other means (urgent care, local testing center, etc.) within 72 hours of returning to campus. The College will not be sending kits in the mail.
More details about how to document your test result will be sent in a future message.
