Message from the Dean of Students: Update on Transportation, Post Office, Textbooks, Packing Supplies
I write to share a few updates that should help with your transition. Please note that the Office of Student Life (Cro 218) will be open from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. to answer phone calls and questions in person.
We have expanded transportation to facilitate travel to TF Green Airport in Providence and to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Saturday (tomorrow) through Tuesday a shuttle to each airport will be leaving at 7:00 a.m. in front of Cro. If you would like to take the shuttle please email email@example.com. We will be in touch early in the week about shuttles after Tuesday.
The Post Office will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
If you need your academic books or materials shipped to you, the College will pay for one large flat rate box of academic materials to be shipped. The specific boxes for this purpose can be picked up at the Post Office.
Your Packages and Mail:
If you are expecting a package to be delivered to your Conn College address and will not be here to pick it up:
- Start by contacting the seller/shipper to see if you can update the delivery address (e.g. Via Amazon -- log in and see if it has shipped yet. If not, update the shipping information)
If the package has already shipped:
- Via FedEx: You will need to contact FedEx with the tracking number to update the address. You can sign up for FedEd Delivery Manager via customer support.
- Via UPS: Go to UPS Package Intercept instructions. You will want to start by contacting the seller before the first delivery attempt. With your tracking number you will be able to update the delivery address.
- Via US postal service: You will want to make sure your mailing information in CamelWeb is up to date, then email the Post Office to have them forward the package to you (firstname.lastname@example.org).
To forward your regular mail through UP Postal Service Mail: In CamelWeb make sure you update your mailing address and check that your contact phone number is up to date. Then email the post office (jteel@
Please take your rental textbooks with you and use them for remote learning. Follet will be determining how to manage returns at the end of the semester. You will receive a notification about this in the future. Check the Conn College FAQ page for updates.
You will find "Camel Packing Supplies" in the lounges of the residence halls. Facilities put these kits together that contain boxes, a marker, and tape. Please take what you need and return what you don’t so that other students have access to supplies. These materials will be replenished over the course of the week. Extra supplies can be picked up at the information desk in Cro.
