Student leadership at Connecticut College is about being inclusive. It's directed toward helping you and your fellow students work collaboratively toward a common good.
Leadership development programs
Student leadership development programs can help you discover how to envision yourself as a campus leader. They'll prepare you to become a socially responsible leader on campus and beyond.
Explore the dozens of student leadership positions available to you.
Lead your peers
Get active with the Student Government Association, and join those students who serve on standing committees at the College.
Lead a club or organization
No matter what your interest, there's a good chance you'll find it among the dozens of active clubs and club sports on campus. If not, you can apply for funding to start your own group.
Lead in the classroom, on the court and on the field
One-third of our students are varsity scholar-athletes who excel in the classroom as well as on the playing field. Many others participate through physical education courses, intramural sports, and recreational opportunities.
Lead in the residence halls
Housefellows, floor governors and house councils play an important role in overseeing the smooth operation of residence halls. House environmental representatives (HERs) monitor and promote sustainability and recycling in their own living spaces and across campus. Which role could you see yourself in?
Lead and lend a hand
The College has been cited for its leadership in creating service-learning opportunities. You can join the one-third of Connecticut College students, and many faculty and staff, who perform community service, individually and collectively, by tutoring, creating and running programs at area schools, and volunteering in human service, legal, arts and healthcare settings.
