Due to COVID-19, Connecticut College's Explore program will be online.

Ask questions. Make discoveries.
Explore the possibilities.

Oct. 5-6, 2020

From its inception, Connecticut College has championed the idea of serving and supporting underrepresented populations. Over time, that commitment has grown and evolved with our institution. Promoting diversity and inclusion continues to be a major component of the fabric of our selective, liberal arts, coeducational and residential institution.

That is why we host Explore, a special program each fall for high school seniors of underrepresented backgrounds, as well as those committed to diversity and social justice.

This year, due to COVID-19, Explore will be hosted online on Oct. 5 and 6.  During these two days you will have the opportunity to hear from our Dean of Institutional Equity and Inclusion, the Director of Race and Ethnicity programming,  faculty, staff and students who will discuss what it’s like to be a student of color at Conn and the resources available to you.

This year’s schedule:

Monday, Oct. 5

Explore the Student of Color Experience, 6-7 p.m. | Meet the staff and student leaders from Conn’s Division of Institutional Equity and Inclusion (DIEI) for a discussion about empowerment, wellbeing and finding community.

Tuesday, Oct. 6

Explore Allyship, 6-7 p.m. | Conversations around what it means to be an ally, exploring privilege, discussing resources and other topics and how they relate to the student experience.

You are an intellectually driven student looking to fulfill your lifelong passion, and we know the importance of finding a college that supports and challenges you. That’s where Explore can help in your search. Join us to learn more about what Conn can offer you.
