The CTW consortium consists of Connecticut College, Trinity College, and Wesleyan University, and provides its patrons with a richness and depth of materials that one library alone could not provide. Current faculty, staff and students of Connecticut College may place requests for library materials owned by Trinity College or Wesleyan University because we belong to this consortium. Any returnable materials, such as books, dvds, videos, and cds, may be borrowed via CTW. Also, it is acceptable to place a CTW request for material owned by Connecticut College, but currently checked out or otherwise unavailable. When placing a request for a multi-volume item, please remember to place a separate request for each volume.
For any article or book chapter requests, please place an ILL request.
Requests for CTW materials should arrive within two days. If a requested item does not arrive within this time period, please contact the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) office at x2667, firstname.lastname@example.org.
To view all pending requests and due dates for CTW and Connecticut College materials, access your account via the online catalog. If you have trouble logging into your account via the online catalog, please contact the reference desk or the ILL office for assistance.
Though they are not available for request, current Connecticut College staff, faculty and students may also access some of the ebooks owned by Trinity and Wesleyan.
Only returnable materials, such as books, cds, dvds, or videos may be borrowed via CTW. All article or book chapter requests must be placed on your Illiad account.
Borrowing materials via CTW entitles you to the same borrowing privileges granted to any student of Wesleyan or Trinity. Therefore, it is easier to obtain renewals, even extended renewals, if you need to keep the borrowed materials past the original due date. Though we can often renew materials obtained via Interlibrary Loan, other institutions are unlikely to be as generous as Wesleyan or Trinity.
However, if an item is not available here nor at Wesleyan or Trinity, please request it via your Illiad account and we will obtain it for you as quickly as possible.
If you have any further questions concerning the advantages of CTW or Interlibrary Loan, please feel free to email email@example.com, call the ILL office at x2667, or stop by the Interlibrary Loan office.
