King, Tasi Post Singles Wins for Camels
NEW LONDON, Conn.--Manhattanville College evened its record at 1-1 with a 6-3 victory against Connecticut College (0-1) Tuesday.
The Valiants won four of six singles pairings, securing their first win of the season.
Connecticut College freshman George King (Concord, Mass.) posted a 7-6 (7-2), 6-2 victory at #1 singles for the hosts. At #3 singles, Camel sophomore Colin Tasi (Stowe, Vt.) battled back from an early deficit, securing the deciding third set with a 10-8 triumph in the super tie-breaker.
Tasi and Henry Friedman (Wynnewood, Pa.) paired up in an 8-4 win at #2 doubles.
