Poole Garners All Invitational Honors at Wellesley
WELLESLEY, Mass.--The Connecticut College women´s cross country competed in the Wellesley College Invitational Saturday. The Camels finished third out of the four scoring teams with 87 points.
The Coast Guard won the invitational with a score of 28 points. The Wellesley Blue finished second with 29 points and the St. Joseph´s Blue Jays placed fourth behind the Camels with 113 points. Connecticut College did not run its top 12 runners Saturday.
Junior Melanie Poole (Middlefield, Conn.) garnered All-Invitational honors, leading the Camels in a 14th place finish with a time of 21:22 on the 5k course. Clare Murphy Hagan (Portland, Ore.) was 18th with a time of 21:56. Maura Hallisey (Wethersfield, Conn.) posted a time of 22:19 to finish in 21st place.
Sophomore Anne Kearney (Westbrook, Conn.) was next in 25th place with a time of 22:55. Libby Maret (Sandy Hook, Conn.) finished 27th in a time of 23:11. Molly Pistrang (Princeton, Mass.) was 28th in 23:17 and sophomore Emily Pfannenstiel (Old Saybrook, Conn.) rounded out the top seven with a time of 23:34.
