The Connecticut College art department and the adjacent Lyman Allyn Art Museum have teamed up for a provocative exhibit exploring how faculty members conceptualize and create their work – and how teaching influences them.
That's what talk show host David Letterman called Professor Andrew Pessin long before he taught philosophy at Connecticut College.
While attending graduate school at Columbia University, Pessin moonlit for CBS's Late Show With David Letterman and appeared in the recurring sketch, “The Strong Guy, The Fat Guy, The Genius,” answering questions ranging on topics from the periodic table to Jamestown, Va.
For more on Professor Pessin, look for his latest books, The 60-Second Philosopher: Expand Your Mind on a Minute or So a Day and The God Question: What Famous Thinkers from Plato to Dawkins Have Said About the Divine, out later this year. You can pre-order the books now on Amazon.com.
