Conn remembers James A. Greenleaf Jr. ’91 on the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001
Nearly 1,000 alumni and friends are expected to return to campus for Reunion 2009 on May 29-31, the College's biggest annual gathering of alumni.
Sarah Fournier, assistant director of Reunion, said registrations are tracking close to last year's – despite the challenging economy. "Alumni are looking to reconnect with each other and enjoy our beautiful campus," Fournier said. "We think the recession might actually be a driving factor to come back and see each other, but it's too early to say."
Highlights include a talk by acclaimed Lincoln biographer Michael Burlingame, the May Buckley Sadowski '19 Professor Emeritus of History; a performance by Vance Gilbert '79, who has toured with Shawn Colvin; and a critical review of President Barack Obama's first 100 days in office by MaryAnne Borrelli, associate professor of government.
For the first time this year, registration is online. Fournier said the change is making the process easier, environmentally responsible and cost-effective, both for alumni and the College. Visit http://reunion.conncoll.edu to view a full schedule of events, see who's coming back and register.
