#10 Camels Finish Fourth out of 17 Teams at Navy Intersectional Shea-Arabia Place Second in A Division in Opening Weekend of Action

ANNAPOLIS, Md.--The Connecticut College women´s sailing team opened the spring season with the Navy Spring Intersectional this weekend. The Camels, who have vaulted their way into 10th place in the latest national poll, placed fourth out of 17 teams with a score of 209 points. The Charleston Cougars won the regatta with a score of 153 points. St Mary´s College of Maryland placed second with a score of 178 points. Boston College took third place by finishing just three points ahead of the Camels with 206 points for the weekend. Junior skipper Maggie Shea (Wilmette, Ill.) and senior crew Kelly Arabia (Braintree, Mass.) paced the Camels with a second place score of 96 points in the A Division. In the B Division, second year skipper Bitsy Whipple (Plandome, N.Y.) teamed up with Katrina Salk (Jamestown, R.I.) and Claire Sacco (Glenmont, N.Y.) for a sixth place finish with 113 points for the Camels.
