#7 Camels Place Fifth out of 18 Teams at St. Mary´s Intersectional

ST. MARY´S CITY, Md.--The Connecticut College Women´s Sailing Team closed out another strong weekend of action by placing fifth out of 18 teams in the St. Mary´s College Intersectional Regatta with a score of 165 points. The Charleston Cougars scored 110 points to win the regatta. The St. Mary´s Seahawks placed second with 128 points while Georgetown University tallied 153 points en route to its third place showing. The Camels, who are the seventh ranked team in the latest Sailing World Magazine Collegiate Poll, finished just a single point behind Old Dominion for fourth place. The Camels were also the highest placing team from the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association. Sophomore skipper Bitsy Whipple (Plandome, N.Y.) and junior Katrina Salk (Jamestown, R.I.) paced the Camels with a fourth place score of 66 points in the B Division. In the A Division, Maggie Shea (Wilmette, Ill,) and Kelly Arabia (Braintree, Mass.) totaled 99 points en route to their ninth place showing for Connecticut College.
