Prophet Notches 6-3, 6-2 Win at #1 Singles for Camels
WATERVILLE, Maine --The Colby College Men´s Tennis Team took two of three doubles points to take command in a 5-4 victory against Connecticut College Saturday.
The Mules (6-5, 3-3 NESCAC) snap a mini two game slide with the victory while the Camels (6-8, 1-7 NESCAC) had their three game winning streak halted in the season finale.
Tom Kimball (Washington, Conn.) and Phillip Zunshine (Columbus, Ohio) notched an 8-5 victory at number one doubles for the hosts. Dan Freeman (Big Flats, N.Y.) and Matthew Mantikas (Glastonbury, Conn.) secured another 8-5 win at second doubles for the Mules.
Connecticut College junior Trevor Prophet (Nashua, N.H.) continued his torrid stretch of play with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at number one singles. George King (Concord, N.H.) and Jeff Weisberger (Wayne, N.J.) chipped in with wins in their respective slots at #3 and #4 singles for the Camels.
Chris Hakusui (Boxford, Mass.) and Henry Friedman (Wynnewood, Pa.) earned an 8-1 victory at third doubles for the visitors.
