Colby College 83, Connecticut College 57 Jenn Shinall Tallies 19 Points & Six Assists for Camels

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Alison Cappelloni (Sudbury, Mass.) poured in a team-high 16 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Colby College women´s basketball team (20-3, 6-2) to an 83-57 victory against Connecticut College (8-15, 0-8) Friday night. Cappelloni was a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from beyond the arc. Jill Vaughan (Wareham, Mass.) chipped in with 13 points and six boards for the hosts. Rachael Mack (Augusta, Maine) and Samantha Allen (Bridgton, Maine) both finished with 10 points for the Mules. Connecticut College sophomore Jenn Shinall (Redding, Conn.) netted 19 points with six assists, five rebounds and three steals. Shinall was 4-for-6 from three-point distance. Senior Emily Cummings (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) finished with 13 points for the visitors. Laura Coderre (Monson, Mass.) tallied eight points and four rebounds for Connecticut College. Colby built a 40-25 lead at the half and opened up a 63-40 advantage with 9:18 remaining.
