Goodwill Breaks School Record in 500 Meters at BU

BOSTON, Mass.--The Connecticut College track and field team visited Boston University for the All-New England Invitational. The Camels did not score any points but had several strong performances at the Invitational. Junior Haley Goodwill (Marlborough, Conn.) set an indoor school record in the 500 meters with a time of 1:21.71. In the 4x400 meter relay, Merry Byrne (Brookside, N.J.), Goodwill, Michelle Wesley (Millwood, N.Y.) and Hayley O´Neil (Bedford Hills, N.Y.) ran their fastest time of the season and the second fastest time for the program with a time of 4:12.75. In the 4x800 meter relay, Kelsey Taylor (East Hampton, Conn.), Ally Bonito (Guilford, Conn.), Molly Pistrang (Princeton, Mass.) and Kerry Dermody (Erieville, N.Y.) ran a season-best time of 9:39.36 in the third fastest time for the program. In the long jump, sophomore Alex DeShields (Melrose, Mass.) covered a distance of 20 feet, four inches.
