Moccia Named NESCAC Co-Player of the Week for Camels

NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College sophomore net-minder Rob Moccia (Malvern, Pa.) has been honored as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men´s Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week. Moccia posted a .839 save percentage with a 3.33 goals against average in back-to- back victories for the Camels over the weekend. On Saturday at Trinity, Moccia made 19 saves with five ground balls in a 10-4 victory against the Bantams. Moccia surrendered just one goal in the opening half of a 13-5 triumph versus Plymouth State Sunday, stopping seven shots with two ground balls for the Camels. Connecticut College is off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2003. The Camels will visit Clarkson University Wednesday afternoon for a 12:00 p.m. game in Potsdam, N.Y.
