NEW LONDON, Conn.--Connecticut College junior skipper Maggie Shea (Wilmette, Ill.) and senior crew Kelly Arabia (Braintree, Mass.) have been named to the All-New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) Team. Shea was selected as a second team skipper while Arabia was honored as a first team crew. Shea and Arabia secured a fourth place finish in the A Division at the New England Championship/Reed Trophy regatta hosted by Brown University this past weekend. With their fourth place finish as a team, the ninth ranked Camels qualified for the first round of the 43rd Annual Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) National Championship that will be hosted by the University of Wisconsin from May 25-28 in Madison, Wis. Shea and Arabia have been honored twice this year as NEISA Sailors of the Week. Arabia has appreciated the time she has spent on the water with the Camel Sailing program and is looking forward to the upcoming 2010 Championship in Wisconsin. "I'm so proud of what we've accomplished this year as a team and I'm honored to represent Connecticut College Sailing as an All-New England Crew," Arabia said. "It has been such a pleasure sailing with Maggie and I'm really going to miss competing with her!" Arabia will receive her degree in behavioral neuroscience later on this spring. Shea is majoring in government at the College.
