Schroff Tallies 11 Kills, Eight Digs and Five Aces for Camels
NEW LONDON, Conn.--Rachel Schroff (Palos Verdes, Calif.) buried 11 kills and added eight digs and five aces to lead the Connecticut College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory against Wesleyan University in a NESCAC match played at Luce Field House Saturday. The game scores were 25-21, 25-20 and 25-19 in favor of the home team.
The Camels improve their record to 11-5 and 3-2 in conference play while the Cardinals slip to 4-9 with a 1-5 record in the NESCAC.
Junior Amy Newman (Los Angeles, Calif.) registered a double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs in the triumph. Sarah Shankel (Loveland, Colo.) added six kills and one block.
Ally Terlizzi (Mount Kisco, N.Y.) finished with nine digs for the winning side and Carly Guiducci (Del Mar, Calif.) had eight digs in the win.
Senior setter Marissa DeMais (Hillsdale, N.J.) distributed 31 assists to go with six digs and three aces.
The Camels will visit Trinity College tomorrow afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. match-up in Hartford, Conn.
