Mitchell Nets Seven Goals in Two Home Matches for Camels
NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Connecticut College men´s water polo team hosted MIT and Harvard University for a pair of Northern Division matches this weekend.
The Camels (2-9) dropped a 16-6 decision to MIT Friday night and fell in a 20-10 loss to the Crimson Sunday.
Senior attacker Hahn Je (Timonium, Md.) and Ryan Pelham (Stonington, Conn.) both scored twice to lead the hosts in their loss to the Engineers. Sam Mitchell (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.) and Sam Burns (Albuequerque, N.M.) chipped in with scores for Connecticut College.
Second year net-minder Clayton Witter (Douglassville, Pa.) recorded 10 saves with three steals in the match. Samuel Buchman (Northfield, Ill.) made four stops in one quarter of action for the hosts.
Witter turned back 15 Harvard shots to go with three steals in Sunday´s start between the pipes. Mitchell erupted with six goals in the match. Junior Nick Sizer (Simsbury, Conn.) and Burns both scored twice.
