Lustofin Scores Goal for Camels
NEW LONDON, Conn.--The Coast Guard rallied from an early deficit to pull out a 3-1 win against Connecticut College. The Camels had won the previous 10 meetings in the neighborhood rivalry.
Cierra Collins scored twice to lead the Bears to the win. Rachel Deschene tallied a first half goal for the hosts.
Connecticut College freshman Stevie Lustofin accounted for the Camel offense with a goal in the 22nd minute of action.
The Camels out-shot the Bears 14-to-6 and held a 6-to-2 edge in corner kicks.
Mary Mills stopped 11 shots in the victory for the Bears. Sophomore Kirsten Manville made four saves in the setback for the Camels.
Connecticut College will visit Wesleyan Friday for a 3:00 p.m. game. The Camels are still in the hunt for the eighth and final berth in the NESCAC Championship Tournament.
