MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Kerry Doyle (North Haven, Conn.) scored twice to lead the Wesleyan University women´s soccer team to a 3-0 victory against Connecticut College Friday. The Cardinals improve to 5-4-4 overall with a 3-2-4 mark in the NESCAC. The Camels close out their season with a 5-6-3 record and a 1-5-3 record in league play.
Sophomore Kirsten Manville (Fairfax, Va.) made three stops in the setback for the visitors. Grace Bomann (Fairfield, Conn.) made three saves and Clare Colton (Montclair, N.J.) added one save in second half action for the Cardinals.
Kate Wegener (Brockton, Mass.) and Ali McKeigue (Arlington, Mass.) shared the team lead with three goals each this season. Jess Kharasch (Los Angeles, Calif.) tallied five points on two goals and one assist and junior Jill Cote (Portsmouth, R.I.) scored two goals for Connecticut College.
The Camels made a full six point improvement in NESCAC play this season and that enabled the team to move up one spot in the regular season standings.
