The Connecticut College art department and the adjacent Lyman Allyn Art Museum have teamed up for a provocative exhibit exploring how faculty members conceptualize and create their work – and how teaching influences them.
The Connecticut College Department of Art History has arranged five bus trips to New York City during the academic year for faculty, staff, students and the general public. The bus will stop at several art museums - the Guggenheim, Metropolitan, Whitney and Museum of Modern Art - as well as the SoHo and Chelsea neighborhoods. Passengers can disembark at any time and meet the bus in the evening for the return trip.
Tickets are $30 for Connecticut College students and $40 for other passengers, and can be purchased with cash or by check.
The next trip will be on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Future trips are scheduled for:
- Saturday, Feb. 18
- Saturday, April 14
Each bus will depart at 8 a.m. from the College's Cummings Arts Center (the east side of the building, facing Route 32, near the loading dock) and leave New York at 8 p.m. from an area near The Atrium of the IBM building located at 56th and 57th streets and Madison Avenue.
