Camels Place Seventh in D. 3 Field at All-New England Championship
BOSTON, Mass.--The Connecticut College men's cross country team visited Franklin Park in Boston to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championship against All Division I, II, and III schools in the region.
The Camels placed 25th in the field and were seventh among Division III institutions with a score of 650 points.
The University of Connecticut won the Championship with a score of 149 points. American International College junior Glarius Rop posted a time of 24:12 on the 8k course to win the individual crown for the Yellow Jackets.
Connecticut College sophomore Mike LeDuc (Canton, Conn.) paced the Camels with a time of time of 25:57 in a 49th place finish. Andrew Duarte (Rocky Hill, Conn.) was the 129th finisher in 26.55. Senior Doug Wright (Darien, Conn.) checked in with a time of 27:04 as the 141st finisher.
Tim Murtagh (Rowley, Mass.) logged a time of 27:13 as the 157th finisher. Alex Mavrovic (Thetford Mines, Quebec) was next in 178th place with a time of 27:28. Colin Gallant (Ashford, Conn.) posted a time of 27:42 as the 193rd finisher.
Billy Barnes (New York, N.Y.) was the seventh Camel scorer in 213th place with a time of 28:05.
